Team Leader JAIME BAKER hails from four generations of home expertise. The Houston native traces her Texas roots back to the 1840s when the Bakers established a successful general contracting business. Their enduring influence has earned the clan the designation of cornerstone legacy family. Each succeeding generation has branched out and added to the family’s heritage, including Jaime’s father, a highly respected home remodeling specialist for more than forty years. With the establishment of Baker & Co., his daughter has claimed a new domain, using cutting edge technology to provide bespoke services to the luxury real estate market.
“I come from a long line of innovators,” says Jaime. “My great-grandmother, Lucille Beckner, was instrumental in developing a local multiple listing service that became the basis for the MLS used by all real estate agencies today. She was also part of the team that designed the Astrodome!” This same ancestor served as President of the Texas Women's Council of REALTORS®, and the Vice President of the National Women's Council of REALTORS®. An engaging speaker, she traveled widely addressing real estate organizations throughout the country. She personally sold more than 300 houses in one year, which is a remarkable accomplishment. In addition to owning her agency, Beckner partnered with a colleague, Pauleen Moore, to craft the first real estate licensing course for the Texas Real Estate Commission. Her contributions to the industry are a proud part of the Baker family legacy.
In much the same way, Jaime is also a leading innovator in real estate. An early adopter of technology, Jaime recognized the potential for social media to influence her industry. Prior to founding her brokerage, Baker & Co., she trained colleagues to use social media to reach potential clients in cyberspace. That initiative earned Jaime a place on Property Spark’s “Top 20 List of Young Realtors on Social Media 2017” and she was a featured speaker at the Real Estate Domination Summit that same year. She continues to incorporate digital technology to create curated home tours for prospective buyers. “Our media professionals are top notch, and their skills are valuable for the international clients that we work. For clients geographically unable to visit a home in person, our digital tour is the next best thing to being there.” Jaime was a founding member of Forbes Global
Properties, bringing the Forbes brand to the state for the first time under
her previous brokerage, Baker & Co., before aligning with Compass in Spring
2025.
